Every VESTIGIUM decant follows the same protocol. Five steps, fully traceable, never improvised.
1. Sourcing
We acquire each flacon through an authorised Louis Vuitton or Maison Francis Kurkdjian reseller. Boutique receipts are kept. Anonymous market flacons are refused. The traceability starts at the till of the original purchase.
2. Verification
Each flacon is inspected on arrival: batch code matched to the official manufacturing window, weight verified, seal intact. A discrepancy at this stage means the flacon is returned. We have never put a doubtful flacon into production.
3. Conditioning
Decanting takes place in a dedicated room, under laminar flow. Equipment is sterilised between every transfer. Atomizers are medical-grade glass with a matte black cap and a calibrated fine-mist spray pump: we tested four pumps before settling on this one.
4. Sealing
Each decant is sealed under vacuum, then closed with the VESTIGIUM paper seal. Once broken, the seal cannot be re-applied invisibly: it's our integrity contract with you.
5. Documentation
Each unit carries a lot number. That lot number is linked, in our archive, to:
- The source flacon (purchase reference, acquisition date)
- The opening date of that flacon
- The conditioning date of your specific decant
On request, we send you the full chain.
Why it matters
Most decanters in the world don't document anything. They pour, they ship, they hope. We chose the opposite: every step traceable, every flacon verifiable, every customer able to ask, and to be answered.
That's not extra. That's the minimum a luxury fragment deserves.
