Authentic. Documented. Traceable. Here's how each VESTIGIUM decant comes into being, from source bottle to your skin.

Sourcing

All our flacons come from authorised resellers in the European Union: official brand boutiques, partner department stores, authorised distributors. No grey market, no parallel imports, no second-hand sourcing. Purchase invoices are documented and conserved for 10 years, available on motivated request for any order.

Decanting

Decanting takes place in a dedicated room, under controlled conditions, with sterilised equipment between every transfer. VESTIGIUM atomizers are medical-grade glass, matte black cap, calibrated fine-mist spray pump for even diffusion. Sealing preserves the olfactive integrity.

Traceability

Each atomizer carries a unique lot number, linked to:

• The source bottle (purchase reference, acquisition date, reseller identification)
• The manufacturing batch code of the source bottle
• The opening date of the source bottle
• The conditioning date of your decant

Conservation

Properly stored (away from light and temperature shifts), a decant keeps its olfactive integrity for 12 to 24 months after opening, essentially the same window as an original bottle. Beyond that, top notes fade first; heart and base remain stable longer.

Reconditioning framework

VESTIGIUM reconditions authentic fragrances in accordance with European trademark law, in particular the Bristol-Myers Squibb v Paranova jurisprudence (CJEU C-427/93) and the Boehringer Ingelheim case law (CJEU C-348/04). The olfactive content of each decant is strictly identical to the source bottle. VESTIGIUM is the only commercial entity named on the atomizer label and outer packaging: we do not reproduce the original brand's distinctive visual identity. Cosmetic safety

VESTIGIUM fragrances are cosmetic products within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. They are intended for external use only: avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, do not ingest, keep out of reach of children. The complete list of ingredients (INCI) is provided on each product page and printed on each decant label. Before use, verify the list and avoid use in case of known allergy to any component. In case of adverse reaction, cease use immediately and contact contact@vestigiumfragrance.com.

Guarantees

In case of non-conformity (faulty atomizer, suspect perfume), we proceed with immediate free replacement within 7 days of your report, with photo evidence.

What we are not

VESTIGIUM is not affiliated with any of the brands whose fragrances we recondition: Louis Vuitton, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Tom Ford, Maison Christian Dior, Byredo, Xerjoff, Parfums de Marly, Stéphane Humbert Lucas, Khalil T., Initio Parfums Privés, Maison Crivelli. Brand names and fragrance names mentioned on this site remain the exclusive property of their respective rights holders.

Our use of these denominations for descriptive purposes falls within the exhaustion of rights doctrine (Directive (EU) 2015/2436 and consistent European jurisprudence), which authorises the resale of authentic products lawfully placed on the market by their rights holders.
