Terms and conditions

These general terms and conditions govern the contractual relationship between VESTIGIUM (hereinafter ‘the Seller’) and any person making a purchase on the site (hereinafter ‘the Customer’).

Article 2. Products

VESTIGIUM offers decants (reconditioned fractions) of niche perfumes sourced from authentic bottles acquired through authorised resellers in the European Union. Each decant is conditioned in medical-grade glass atomizers, sealed in a dedicated room, with lot number and opening date documented.

The brands mentioned on this site (Louis Vuitton, Maison Francis Kurkdjian, Tom Ford, Maison Christian Dior, Byredo, Xerjoff, Parfums de Marly, Stéphane Humbert Lucas, Khalil T., Initio Parfums Privés, Maison Crivelli) remain the exclusive property of their rights holders. VESTIGIUM is in no way affiliated with these brands. Our use of these names for descriptive purposes falls within the exhaustion of rights doctrine (Directive (EU) 2015/2436). VESTIGIUM fragrances are cosmetic products within the meaning of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. They are intended for external use only: avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, do not ingest, keep out of reach of children. The complete list of ingredients (INCI) is provided on each product page.

Article 3. Pricing

Prices are indicated in euros (EUR), all taxes included. VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French General Tax Code, micro-enterprise VAT exemption.

Shipping fees are indicated before final order validation.

Article 4. Orders

Any order placed on the site implies full acceptance of these terms. Order validation forms the sales contract.

Article 5. Payment

Payment is made online by credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal, through the secure Shopify Payments / Stripe solutions. Banking details never transit through VESTIGIUM's servers.

Article 6. Shipping

VESTIGIUM ships within the European Union. Preparation time is 5 business days from payment confirmation. Delivery times vary by carrier and destination (typically 2 to 7 business days after dispatch).

The Customer receives a shipment confirmation email with tracking number.

Article 7. Right of withdrawal

Per article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has 14 days from product receipt to exercise their right of withdrawal, without justification needed.

However, per article L.221-28 3°, this right does not apply to products whose seal has been broken, for health or hygiene protection: this includes VESTIGIUM decants whose atomizer has been used.

Article 8. Warranties

All VESTIGIUM products benefit from the legal conformity warranty (articles L.217-4 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the hidden defects warranty (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).

Article 9. Liability & safety

VESTIGIUM cannot be held liable for damages resulting from non-compliant product use. Perfumes are cosmetic products intended for external use only: avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, do not ingest, keep out of reach of children. Before use, verify the list of ingredients on the decant label and avoid use in case of known allergy to any component. In case of adverse reaction, cease use immediately and contact contact@vestigiumfragrance.com with description of symptoms and batch number of the decant.

Article 10. Personal data

Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy policy.

Article 11. Mediation & disputes

These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution will be sought as priority. Failing that, the consumer Customer may refer to the consumer mediator designated by VESTIGIUM (see Legal Notice) or use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

Article 12. Intellectual property
